Ruhr-Universität Bochum

Ruhr Universität Bochum (RUB) is one of the largest universities in Germany with more than 5,600 employees and 43,000 students, many of them from abroad. The university is situated on a campus, famous for its 1960s architecture, but has also branches all over the city of which CERES is one. All major disciplines in the sciences and humanities can be studied at the university. RUB offers its students and employees a vivid campus life with a broad variety of cultural events, concerts, and festivals .

Students have the option of being lodged in student dormitories close to RUB campus. International students are able to study free language courses in German offered by the university. Moreover, RUB’s International Office provides services de-signed for the particular needs of foreign students.
